BUNDANOON

Bundanoon is one of the Southern Highlands villages to retain its old world charm and connection with the natural beauty of Morton National Park. The name Bundanoon comes from the local aboriginal name meaning "place of deep gullies" and was formerly known as Jordan's Crossing.
Bundanoon is known for its annual Garden Ramble every October and for its Brigadoon Highland Gathering every April that attracts Scottish participants and tourists from around the world. Bundanoon also hosts local village markets every first and third Sunday of each month with over 40 stalls offering a variety of fresh produce, bread, cakes, condiments, candles and accessories, art, jewellery, plants, handicrafts and knitwear plus more. One of the great evening activities for visitors is a trip down to glow worm glen. With a bit of care you can ensure to see a great light show while minimising impact on these luminescent locals. A good idea is to start the walk down to the glen at sunset and this way it will be dark by the time you reach the glen.
Bundanoon also offers a variety of shops including the Bundanoon butchery, supermarket, pharmacy, bottle shop, a local post office, train station and public school.
